About Us Geyserland Cat ClubThe Geyserland Cat Club was incorporated on 10 June 1967. Meetings were held in Rotorua at the Hard of Hearing Rooms on Eruera Street, Rotorua and then at the St Andrews Church Hall on the Devon Street Roundabout, Rotorua. For the last ten years or so the club meets at the McDonalds Restaurant on the corner of Fenton and Amohau Street. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month commencing 7.30pm. The only month the club does not meet is January.
The club hosts two shows a year: The first in Tauranga, on the weekend after Queens Birthday Weekend. This year we are hosting our eleventh show. This date used to belong to the Tauranga Cat Fanciers Club. The Geyserland Cat Club took this date over when the Tauranga Club went into recess. The second show is held on the fourth weekend in July. Years ago the show used to be held on a Saturday, but was changed to Sunday. This year's second show will be held in Rotorua. |
